Where in the real life world do you live?

I live in the UK.

How long have you played The Matrix Online?

I've been playing since just after the game launched.

What other MMOs have you played?

I recently took the plunge and delved into Tabula Rasa. At around level 7, however, I began thinking "This isn't MxO" and ceased fire. Other MMOs don't particularly interest me at any level.

What got you into gaming and what sort of games do you like the most?

The concepts and philosophies in the Matrix trilogy have sole ownership for the credit of getting me into MxO. I'm not a "gamer" by anyone's standards, so I can only say that the underlying principles behind the Matrix represent what I like most in games.

What other hobbies or activities do you take part in, other then playing The Matrix Online?

I have a considerable interest in philosophy and world affairs. I can traditionally be found ignoring people in favor of a book or fumbling around a blank page, attempting to write something coherent. Like anyone else I have a vast appreciation for music, in addition to a decidedly unhealthy passion for film.

What is your highest character level in The Matrix Online?

I have four characters at level fifty.

How or why did you choose your main character's name?

Upon character creation, I thought I'd be all impressively unique and choose a Latin name; little did I know that 97% of the population would have the same idea. I wanted something appropriate to the Matrix universe so I'll leave it up to the individual to look up my name's meaning, if they care to.

What Branch (Coder, Hacker, Operative) and ability tree is your main character?

All my characters embrace the wonder that is the Operative branch, for PvP reasons, with my main indulging in covert Sniper. I plan to branch out (ho, ho) into the Hacker trees soon.

Why did you choose the branch and ability tree that you did?

Exsuscito started out as a Kung Fu Grandmaster, and remained that way for quite some time. I originally took that path for the same reason 99% of other new starters did, I wanted to fight as they fought in the trilogy. Due to my solo style of play, I eventually opted for Sniper, and much fun ensued.

Is your main character in a crew, if so what rank is the character?

Exsuscito is the Captain of the Hovercraft Praemeditatio.

Is your main character in a faction, if so which one and what is their faction rank?

Exsuscito is the leader of the faction The Initiative.

What was your favorite chapter?

I don't follow the official storyline as closely as I should, so there isn't one which immediately springs to mind. If I were to choose one, it would be the New Zion chapter. That resembled the arc of the movies more closely than any other had and it showed that the writers weren't afraid to try new things and go down unexpected roads.

What is your favorite neighborhood?

I'm fond of Creston North, but I'd have to say that the entire city is my oversized neighborhood. I prefer to wander than to stand still.

Who is your favorite NPC?

I love the models for both The Trainman and The Apothecary. The Apothecary gets bonus points for instilling such dread into all who cross her path.

What is the most $info you have ever spent at one time and what did you purchase?

I can't recall a time where I've been overtly extravagant with my $info. The most I've ever spent on any given occasion is around 25 million for a Sakura Bandana.

Do you have an item you no longer use but keep around for nostalgic reasons? If so what is it and why do you keep it?

I still have my 'Fly in Amber', despite the fact that I'll never use it again. I think it's indicative of a person's duration as a player, and therefore holds some symbolic value.

What do you like best about The Matrix Online?

I still love the many concepts, ideals, and philosophies discussed primarily by the original movie and in MxO. I signed up because I wanted to reside in the dark hue of the cyberpunk metropolis, presented by the aforementioned original. It felt like a beautifully constructed paradigm of ultimate escapism, as it does to this day. The city still shines with the same vibrancy as it did on day one, and it continues to fascinate and enthrall me. It encapsulates the mood of the original movie brilliantly and its contrast from drab to baroque surroundings ably captures the diversity of its inhabitants. I also love that the game has a distinctly cult following, as opposed to nine million "Gandalf" clones running around a garish cartoon fantasy, for instance. The community is, by and large, a great bunch of people, and we all have the game's best interests at heart, despite any rhetoric to the contrary. Aside from those aspects, MxO is just the Matrix, which was a universe I quickly became passionate about back in 1999, and will forever be fascinated by.

How would you describe your best experience playing The Matrix Online?

I honestly could not answer this with any degree of certainty. That's not to say that I haven't had great experiences, it's just that there have been so many. I did enjoy the waves created by my change of allegiance a couple of years ago. That was a fine role-play experience.

Do you run or work for an MxO Fan Site or Radio Station?

I'd be the worst DJ in existence, constantly failing to reconcile my thoughts with something palatable enough for general consumption. Others do a fine job on the fan sites, I'll just let them continue the great job they do without getting in the way.

The Matrix Online is the future of the Matrix, picking up right where the trilogy left off. The revolution is over, but within the Matrix, a secret war still rages -- a war of control between the Machines, the Exiles, and the people of Zion. Join the continuing storyline of The Matrix where you decide who to oppose and what to believe. Only your courage and perseverance can protect the legacy of Neo's sacrifice. Jack in.
