Being relatively new to The Matrix Online, I thought it would be interesting to document my adventures and exploration of Mega City. These blog entries chronicle my adventures…

Following my adventures in Uriah Industrial Park and the unpleasant altercations with the Chopper Gang, I decided to head to Tabor Park and see what kind of trouble I could get into. The first thing I noticed about Tabor Park was the traffic. Sheesh…drivers don't understand crosswalks in this neighborhood! They're practically a death trap for pedestrians! While I was on my back barely escaping becoming road kill, I recognized that Tabor Park had really cool tall buildings. It's a much different feel from the dock yard of Uriah and smells a lot less fishy, thank goodness.
The first thing I did after arriving in Tabor Park was look around for a collector to see what kind of cool swag I could get my hands on. Yes, I know…I truly have a one track mind. Well, actually a two-track mind. Good clothes and the ladies…what more could a guy ask for?
Anyway, I ended up getting completely lost and as luck would have it (or not in this case), I managed to find the bad side of Tabor Park. I stopped counting after seeing about 5 pool halls/bars on the same street. Apparently the people of Tabor Park have a two track mind as well. Eventually, I found Tabor Park Plaza and located a collector named Michel… plus a few vendors that were selling abilities.
Poor Michel, he seemed a bit peeved about not getting into the local gang called the Demon Army. I must have had the words "Hitman For Hire" tattooed across my head in ink that I couldn't see, because he wanted me to dish out revenge by taking some of them out for the count and collecting 6 of their Demon Head gang tokens. What did he want with them? Who knows? I didn't ask – people are into some weird stuff, you know? I was just about to tell him that I'm just a dude lost in Tabor Park and that he needed to seek some professional help, when he said that in exchange for the tokens, he'd give me a sexy new shirt. Please…like he needed to say anything more. I headed off to find some Demon Army gangsters, deal out some beat-downs and ultimately pursue my passion for fashion (and the senoritas)!
It didn't take me long to find them…those scumbags ambushed me right after I successfully dodged traffic in the crosswalk! I swear, between the crazy drivers and the Demon Army gang, I'm surprised anyone in Tabor Park is still standing on their own two feet! I got sucker punched followed by a shoulder throw and in seconds I was on the ground once again looking up at those tall buildings. Since my hand to hand skills seemed to be lacking, I pulled out the new toy I picked up from a Chopper in Uriah Industrial park last week. Say hello to my little friend, Mr. Demon Army Guy! Get Some!!! Get Some!! Ahhh, I love my new Zatkin Improved Machine Pistol. After clearing a path with my shiny new best friend (have fun looking up at the buildings, punks!), I decided I should go back to the vendors and buy some new abilities in order to improve my hand to hand skills. A quick stop at the vendors, and my new fighting skills were much improved. I still don't know Kung Fu but I'm getting there.
It was time for a change of scenery, so I took off to explore Tabor Park some more and continue collecting Demon Head tokens for Michel. I soon ran into a large park. I patted myself on the back for recognizing that this was probably the park this neighborhood gets its name from. There were also an unusual amount of Demon Army gang members there, and I was still in need of tokens, so I decided to check it out. That's when he found me, Mammon, leader of the Demon Army Gang. He must have wanted all the tokens I had back because he jumped me as soon as he saw me and we hit the ground rolling. It was a close fight and if I hadn't recently acquired some new skills he would have wiped the floor with me! However, I kicked his butt instead. Luckily, he had the 6th token I needed to get my new sexy shirt so I headed back to Michel to collect my just reward.
Oh, my brand new Deomonskin shirt…how much do I love thee? Let me count the ways. Michel was so grateful that he handed it over right away and I must say…I'm lookin' fine in it. After such a hard day, it was time to relax and get my groove on, so I took the hardline to the Mara neighborhood. The central hardline in Mara always has a great crowd hanging around. They're always great and fun to chat with, so I always enjoy going there. After arriving, I hung out for a few minutes watching other players spar and even managed to get a couple of dances in. What can I say? A body like mine needs to groove. And don't think the ladies didn't notice…especially in my new sexy shirt!
So, as my second adventure came to an end, I realized that I had learned some important things this time around. Always remember to upgrade your abilities whenever you can, or you could end up on the concrete with a boot in your face. Oh, and apparently I'm willing to sell my soul for a piece of couture.
Until next time,
