Where in the real life world do you live?

I live in Richmond, Virginia; with Mave, and our son Pablo.

How long have you played The Matrix Online?

I've played since late Beta.

What other MMOs have you played?

I've played Word of WarCraft…which I regret, Pirates of the Burning Sea, Hello Kitty Online, Anarchy Online, and EVE.

What type of work do you do?

I'm a writer.

What got you into gaming and what sort of games do you like the most?

I started gaming with Myst the Neverhood, and Riven. Soon after, I started to really get into more action-oriented games like Goldeneye and Shadows of the Empire for the Nintendo 64. PCs stole me back with stuff like the Max Payne series and Fallout. I've got to say my favorite games are the Fallout series, Max Payne 2, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. and Riven.

What other hobbies or activities do you take part in, other then playing The Matrix Online?

I'm an avid tabletop role-play game player, I write, and I try to cook.

What is your highest character level in The Matrix Online?

My highest-level character is currently 36. Anyone who knows me knows I wouldn't level if my life depended on it.

How or why did you choose your main character's name?

Chemuel is a more feminine variation on Kamael, the archangel of divine love. I wrote the character to act as a sort of Trinity variant; that is, a supporting character and a love interest, but I wanted her to be a "bad guy". I tend to view MxO as one big novel we're all writing and I decided someone needs to be the supporting roles, so I took it upon myself. It's been a lot of fun. Originally, I'd only intended to play her for a few months, but she grows on you.

What Branch (Coder, Hacker, Operative) and ability tree is your main character?

Chemuel is an Operative, specifically a Sniper.

Why did you choose the branch and ability tree that you did?

Again, going with the whole "bad guy" theme, the Matrix has strong Asian overtones of honor and facing your opponents. Snipers are as far from that as it gets.

Is your main character in a crew, if so, what rank is the character?

Chemuel is captain of the Schrödinger's Cat.

Is your main character in a faction, if so which one and what is their faction rank?

Chemuel is President of Sin Incorporated.

What was your favorite chapter?

Nightfall was my favorite chapter. Nothing was more intense than sitting around in Camon when all of the sudden hundreds of lupines poured in from everywhere. I remember…we all started to fall back to the doors of the Camon Church, which was really intense. It was such a cool event.

What is your favorite neighborhood?

My favorite neighborhood is a toss-up between Camon and Midian.

Who is your favorite NPC?

Yikes! I've got to say my favorite would be between the Elite Commandos, Binary Boy, or the Assassin.

What is the most $info you have ever spent on purchasing a single item for one of your characters?

The most I've ever spent on a single item was 250 million for a patcher's headgear.

Do you have an item you no longer use but keep around for nostalgic reasons? If so what is it and why do you keep it?

I keep all the masks, a redpill, a bluepill, a box of blue fragments, and a few snowflakes. I also still have a pair of low-level silenced pistols even though I have better pistols now. I like to keep the silencers for role-play, and I'm too cheap to buy new ones.

What do you like best about The Matrix Online?

Everyone says it, but it's true; the community.

How would you describe your best experience playing The Matrix Online?

My best experience playing MxO was probably the time The Effectuator ran around in an event with everybody there, but had just little old me on his team. It was like being the shy girl asked to prom by the popular guy in a John Hughes movie. At the end he kissed my hand and ran off. Come to think of it, I'm pretty sure he didn't even know he'd teamed me, but it was still cool.
