Where in the real life world do you live?

I'm from Brazil but I live in Florida.

How long have you played The Matrix Online?

I've played since January 2005. I signed up with one month left of Beta, got to level 25.

What other MMOs have you played?

MxO is my first and only MMO.

What type of work do you do?

I am an Engineer for General Electric Company

What got you into gaming and what sort of games do you like the most?

As with most people here, I've been playing since Atari 2600 came out in Brazil. I've owned NES, SNES, N64 since growing up here in the States. I also own a PS3 but I don't buy too many titles for it. I do have GTAIV, FIFA08 (FIFA players add me DE_Manatik) and COD4. I got hooked on role-playing games with Final Fantasy 2 for the SNES and I have followed most of the FF franchise up to X. MxO is my only MMO and honestly what got me into it was the 20 minute video on the Matrix Revolutions DVD bonus material. As soon as I saw that, I knew I had to play this game, but never thought that 3 years later I'd still be hooked.

What other hobbies or activities do you take part in, other then playing The Matrix Online?

I play Pub Poker occasionally, clubbing with friends now and then, and spend time with the family…I'm married with 2 young girls believe it or not.

What is your highest character level in The Matrix Online?

My highest level character is level 50, and I don't have any alts past level 21. I always feel like I would miss out on stuff if I wasn't on my main.

How or why did you choose your main character's name?

I first thought of the character Manatik Luniak playing some table top RPG (I think it was Star Wars) when I used to occasionally play DnD or D20 Modern with some old friends. The name is simply a small word jumble, but over time players have either called me Manatik or just Mana.

What Branch (Coder, Hacker, Operative) and ability tree is your main character?

I started out Martial Arts fulltime and then went to Master Knife Thrower, then jumped to Hacker for a while. This year I went back to Martial Arts for 6 months until most recently when switched to a Sniper build.

Why did you choose the Branch and ability tree that you did?

Beauty of this game is there is no character regret, so I try them all out to keep it fresh.

Is your main character in a crew, if so, what rank is the character?

I am Crew Captain of the Liquerbox, which was given to me by ArchBish0p when he handed the leadership of the faction to me.

Is your main character in a faction, if so, which one and what is their faction rank?

I am leader of the Dark Evolution faction, which evolved from the old Digital Army in late 2005.

What was your favorite chapter?

There's not one in particular chapter that jumps to mind, but the hunt for the Assassin was fun. I happened to be there when we were chasing him around the Enumerator server. I also liked the storyline when it showed the Sentinels attacking 01 for some reason, and the break of the truce of course.

What is your favorite neighborhood?

Dating back to 2005, Eshean West has always been "our" hardline, so Eshean Projects takes the cake.

Who is your favorite NPC?

Mr. Black is my favorite NPC, because that's my Bluepill name.

What is the most $info you have ever spent at one time and what did you purchase?

The most I have ever spent at one time was 250 million $info on a Scanline Receiver off the marketplace, which is probably more then I should have spent, but hey, we had a lot of $info in the bank.

Do you have an item you no longer use but keep around for nostalgic reasons? If so, what is it and why do you keep it?

I still have all my beta clothes, flint gun, fly amber, Neo's insight, and PDAs. I just keep them for the heck of it...recycling them just wouldn't feel right.

What do you like best about The Matrix Online?

What I like best about MxO is hands down, the Community who are awesome people that care about the game no matter what is thrown at us. From the game itself, what I like most is the mere fact then you can change your loadout so easily, the urban landscape, Interlock, bullet time animations, and the idea behind the game of course, a continuation of the Matrix storyline

How would you describe your best experience playing The Matrix Online?

I will never forget the 'Eyepocalipse' event at the end of Beta. Being a total 'nub' back then, the magnitude of what was happening around me was crazy! I remember being at work, listening to Radio Free Zion broadcasting everything that was going on with such enthusiasm and I thought "I gotta get outta here!" I went home, jacked in, and stayed till midnight when we all got meatwadded. It was an awesome experience! Aside from that, the last 3 years of running Dark Evolution has also been a hell of a ride, very rewarding, and it's what keeps me coming back every day. That and of course, hosting events for the Vector community.

Do you run or work for an MxO Fan Site or Radio Station?

No, I do not.
