The Chinese New Year is one of the most important holidays for the Chinese culture, full of celebrations and festive events, including visits to relatives and friends, parades, and fireworks. New clothes are usually worn to signify a new year. The color red (red symbolizes good luck!) is liberally used in all decorations. Red packets containing money are given to children and young people by the married and elders. It’s a beautiful celebration of reflecting over the year that’s passed while looking forward to fresh hope and starting anew.
